Interesting Facts
Sapele is a fine, and perhaps under-appreciated, African member of the Mahogany family. It is considerably stronger than Khaya or the American varieties. The trees can be huge, with yields of 20 cubic meters (about 8500 board feet) not uncommon from one tree.
