Spanish Cedar
Origin
South and Central America, as far north as Florida

Characteristics
Generally straight grained with distinctive dark red thin lines

Common Uses
Its strong smell makes it popular for humidors and clothes chests as well as furniture, trimwork, and musical instruments.

Interesting Facts
Spanish cedar is a member of the Mahogany family and is easily confused in appearance with Swietenia macrophylla.
