Almost every work-holding device on the woodworking market is designed to hold your work “down”. What are you supposed to do when you want to hold your work “up”? Whether you have a fancy workbench with vises and dog holes or a piece of plywood nailed to two-by-four legs, Woodpeckers newest OneTIME Tool®, the Vise-Less Work Support, provides a versatile, adjustable, stable platform on which you can clamp your stock for more accurate hand and machine work. It allows you to position your workpiece above your bench so you’re always working at a comfortable height and have full clearance for blades and bits.

The Vise-Less Work Support starts with a pair of Woodpeckers beefy Super Tracks. These join up to create a telescoping platform. The outside track slides up and down allowing you to position your stock at a wide range of heights.  A quick-release clamp adjusts to any table or bench for fast mounting. A pair of adjustable stops slide in the track to help you position your workpiece. Now, just add a couple of clamps and your workpiece is upright and secure for whatever your project needs. You’ll work at a comfortable and natural position while cutting dovetails, trimming tenons, squaring out routed mortises, using a hand drill or supporting a Domino on a narrow edge.

The only thing better than a Vise-Less Work Support is two of them…joined with another section of Super Track bridging them together. That’s Woodpeckers Vise-Less Work Support System. The clever track connectors that slide into the edge of the vertical tracks lock the three tracks into a perfectly flat plane. If you’re familiar with their Variable Router Jig, you’ll recognize the track connectors as the same ones that lock Super Track sections into perfectly flat, perfectly square routing templates. Now they've used that feature in the Vise-Less Work Support System so you can grip longer stock horizontally, adjust the height to a comfortable position and keep everything flat at the same time. You won’t be hunched over working with a bent back. For example, when edge planning, you can find just the right height to comfortably guide your plane straight down the line and square to the edge.

If your work involves longer stock, the 18" bridge that comes with the Vise-Less Work Support System can be swapped out with the optional 32" bridge, giving you a mounting surface 40" long. That’s long enough to support a board over 6-feet long for edge planning.
