Join us to create two of your very own Ocean resin pieces; 1 x Wall Art & 1 x Charcuterie Board!
Date: Saturday, February 11th
Skill Level: Beginner
Instructor: Ellie Murphy
Join Ellie Murphy as she shows you her technique on creating ocean epoxy resin art pieces. You will also be making a "dipped" ocean scene charcuterie board from maple or ash.
Students will start the class by learning the process for mixing and tinting epoxy. Once the epoxy has been mixed and portioned off, you will add the pigments and begin layering on the colours to build your ocean resin charcuterie board. Lastly, the students will add the white pigment to create the wave effect.
For the second part of the class, you will apply what you've learned earlier with the charcuterie board and use the remaining epoxy to create your wall art piece.
In the class students can expect to get epoxy on their clothes, so it is recommended to wear tight-fitting clothing that you would be okay to get messy.
All skill levels are welcome, but this class will move at a pace comfortable for a beginner working with epoxy for the first time.
All tools and materials will be provided as part of the class. Students will receive 20% off any purchases they make on the day of the workshop. Festool, Woodpeckers, and plywood excluded.
