Great items and great service
All the wood from KJP has been awesome to work with! From cutting to engraving!
I thought I'd write a review for anyone who is debating on purchasing this for their business (and for those that regularly purchase the laser/cnc grade). I originally have always used the baltic birch plywood and this was the first time I've used the all birch plywood
What to like: It's inexpensive compared to the laser cnc grade and if you're doing hobby work I highly recommend it or if you're just starting your business up.
What I didn't like: Like they state in the video, the veneer is thinner than the baltic birch (1/8" thick) which causes some major problems for me. I mainly use this wood for cake toppers, birth announcement, ornaments etc and found that the veneer is much too thin - definitely don't recommend sanding the wood with any sander. Just use a piece of sanding paper if you have to and do it by hand otherwise you'll end up sanding too much and seeing under the veneer and it's not the same colour as the face of the veneer so you'll definitely notice it.
The thin veneer for me is enough to steer me away and I'll be using my remaining pieces on products that aren't directly given to customers. I also found after engraving, if I've masked the wood, the veneer has peeled off around some of the engraving spots.
So, if you're using this wood for light hobby work, or just to try test cuts I highly recommend it. It's the best value you can get.
If you're looking to use this for your business I recommend going to the cnc/laser grade to avoid the frustration of the veneer being too thin.
Also, I wanted to add that using it over the last week I definitely notice a difference in the colour of the engraving. The colour of the engraving on the all birch is darker and not as warm of a tone.
