April 21st - Make a Knife Stand

Do you have beautiful knives that are rusting away in a cold dark drawer? Why not get those up on your counter and displayed beautifully!

Come to KJP and join us for a fun class where you leave with a finished great accessory to display on your kitchen counter. Each student will start the class by picking a piece of wood from the great selection of dressed material in the showroom. (Options include : Maple, Cherry, Red Oak and Walnut). You will cut your wood into two pieces and go about shaping, routing, sanding, and drilling your pieces into a beautiful knife stand.

Once the pieces are to size, we will apply leather to the back piece to protect your blades from damage. Strong rare earth magnets will be embedded into the wood to give you piece of mind when placing your knives back on display, knowing that they won't move. 

Students can expect to use the following tools: Mitre saw, router, sander, drill and chisels. 

All materials will be provided to you. (Knives not included) Happy Making!

All skill levels are welcome, but this class will move at a pace comfortbale for a beginner All tools being used will be explained and demonstrated to each student prior to use. Lunch will be provided and any dietary restrictions can be addressed at the time of ordering.

Students will receive 20% off any purchases they make on the days of the workshop. Festool, Woodpeckers, and plywood excluded.
