Woodpeckers started with a genius design patented in 1890, tweaked it with a few new features and produce it with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and space age materials. The result is a tool you will be proud to own, will last a lifetime and will love to use. The Woodpeckers Bevel Square locks from the end of the handle, rather than with a wing nut at the joint as you’ll find in lesser tools. Not only does this feature (the basis of the 1890 patent) move the clamp out of your way, it’s also far more secure than the standard clamp. Simple fingertip pressure locks the blade solidly. You’ll never worry about bumping it out of adjustment.
BEVEL SQUARE & ANGLE REFERENCE PLATE
Woodpeckers went a step further by adding variable tension to the blade adjustment. If you’re matching an angle on an antique piece or fitting trim in an older home, increase the tension so the blade will hold position as you align it on the corner. Now you can take it away and lock it completely without the blade moving.
The stainless-steel blade of the bevel square has a beautiful satin finish. Stainless steel is also used throughout the internal blade locking mechanism. The handle is milled from a solid aluminum billet and then anodized to give it the familiar “Woodpeckers Red” appearance and outstanding corrosion protection.
Angle Reference Plate, the perfect companion. When you need to transfer an exact angle, the Angle Reference Plate makes it a simple task. On a 3” x 16” x 1/4” aluminum plate, it is laser engrave angles from 0° to 30° on one side and 31° to 55° on the other. The angles are graduated in 1/4° increments, using solid lines for whole degrees, dashed lines for half degrees and dotted lines for quarter degrees. Complementary angles (135° to 45° for example) are also included.
7” & 12” versions to fit your projects. Woodpeckers 7” Precision Bevel Square is the perfect choice for most joinery layout and machinery set-up applications. For carpentry projects, the larger 12” Precision Bevel Square is just the ticket.
