The last image shows an example demonstrating that each of these slabs have hooks installed on their back side. These hooks were installed on either side of the pith to prevent the wood from breaking up in the kiln.
We recommend pairing these slabs with our metal legs and using a durable wood finish such as Osmo TopOil for optimal protection.
