Ziricote Turning Square
We will provide you with a high quality turning blank 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 24". This blank has already been kiln dried and is ready to be "turned" into your next great project! We recommend using Honey Bee's Natural Wood Cream for a long lasting and food safe finish.
We can sometimes accomodate a larger blank than our standard sizes. Please email us for availability and a quote.
Dimensions may vary +/- 1/8" as we often prefer to lightly skip dress the turning blanks to reveal grain & colour. Some blanks may also come with waxed faces and ends.

Color ranges from medium to dark brown, sometimes with either a green or purple hue, with darker bands of black growth rings intermixed. Ziricote has a very unique appearance, which is sometimes referred to as “spider-webbing” or “landscape” grain figure. Quartersawn surfaces can also have ray flakes similar in appearance to those found on quartersawn Hard Maple. The pale yellowish sapwood is sometimes incorporated into designs for aesthetic effect, or to cut down on wastage.

I ordered a few pieces of wood and the only one I was not happy with was the ziricote. It had a 6”-8” section that was unusable due to rot. Oh well better luck next time I guess. I was impressed by how quickly everything was shipped to me though. Cheers to KJP shipping department!!

Live Edge Charcuterie Boards - Sappy Walnut
The item was prepared exactly as requested in a timely manner. I asked for multiple sheets of plywood to be cut in half, with the grain. KJP cut each of the boards into two identical pieces. I was notified once the order was complete. I arrived at the facility without notification, and the items were ready to put in my car. I'm always impressed with the quality of service from the people working at KJP. I am a repeat customer, and I don't foresee that changing anyone soon.
