Elm Turning Blank

We will provide you with a high quality turning blank in the dimensions of your choice. Our Elm round bowl blanks have already been kiln dried and are ready to be "turned" into your next amazing project! 

We can sometimes accommodate a larger blank than our standard sizes. Please email us for availability and a quote.

Dimensions may vary +/- 1/4" as we often prefer to lightly skip dress the turning blanks to reveal grain & colour. Some blanks may also come with waxed faces and ends.

Elm is unique because of its reddish-brown heartwood and well-defined creamy sapwood. You can expect Elm to bring a tightly-knit, interlocked grain structure that makes it resistant to splitting or splintering. While this wood will darken over time, the rich golden hue will never fade!

We recommend using Honey Bee's Natural Wood Cream for a long lasting and food safe finish. Made with only 2 ingredients - pure beeswax and 100% food grade mineral oil - this soft paste is easy to spread and will protect and enhance the natural beauty of your woodturning project.
