Baltic Birch - 30" x 30"

Our top selling plywood!

Choose from a variety of thicknesses of our Baltic Birch (Russian Birch) plywood.

Our Baltic Birch plywood is manufactured with a single piece face to ensure light and uniform colour. A few sound tight knots and pin holes are permitted. Open knots and defects are replaced with small oval or round veneer patches before gluing.

Dimensions are +/- 1/4" of size listed.

If you require additional milling, please email us in advance for a quote.

These are available for pickup at our retail location or local delivery in the Ottawa/Gatineau region. If you require shipping to your location, please connect with us for a custom shipping quote.

Did you know that all 1/8" and 1/4" Baltic Birch has the possibility of cupping/warping? This can happen because of the nature of it being thin and wide. If and when that happens, this popular product for laser cutters can be accommodated by using simple techniques such as taping it down to a flat surface, or creating a jig that compresses it down flat. We always do our best to hand pick the highest quality pieces, but it’s important to be aware of this possibility when planning materials for your project.

If you require perfectly flat material for your project, we would recommend trying our TruFlat® Laser Plywood instead.

******

For many of our customers working on CNC or Lasers - it should be noted there is an allowable thickness tolerance to consider;

  • 1/8" (3mm) - +0.3mm/-0.4mm
  • 1/4" (6mm) - +0.4mm/-0.5mm

Refunds for this product are subject to a 15% restocking fee as these are cut to order. As well, the customer is responsible for any applicable shipping charges.

We have now developed 3 "house grades" so our customers can better understand what they are purchasing;

  • Laser/CNC Grade (B/BB) : You can expect at least 1 face with no patches - often both!
  • Patch 2 Sides : Patches will appear on both faces of sheet. Best value but reserved for painting or small parts
  • Standard (BB/BB) : A mix of both our Laser/CNC Grade and Patch 2 Sides grade. Expect about 80%-90% Laser/CNC Grade. Historically this is what we have sold and the grade of anything unmarked.

BB Plywood

I live in Alabama, USA. The product came from Canada. They allowed me to change my order prior to shipment. Service and delivery was excellent. However, I did have quite a few pieces that were warped badly only after a few days of sitting in my shop, even with weights on them. I always order the laser grade birch and I know it has a tendency to warp but I wasn't expecting this many pieces warped, some beyond use for my laser projects, this soon.

Question about order

I’ve order, over the years, the same item. I’m confused as to how the wood i ordered this time is so much cheaper than in the past. I take pride in using a Canadian company. I also think your products are great, however I feel I’ve been cheated in the past. I’ve included my orders history below.
Why is the price so different.

12"x 20" Birch plywood

Product is now being used to build a variety of devices. Its great stuff. I wish I could get it in 3/8 inch width. This size is easier to make into finger joints and have good strength, while having minimal weight.
