We will provide you with a high quality turning blank in the dimensions of your choice. This blank has already been kiln dried and is ready to be "turned" into your next great project! We recommend using Honey Bee's Natural Wood Cream for a long lasting and food safe finish.
We can sometimes accomodate a larger blank than our standard sizes. Please email usfor availability and a quote.
Dimensions may vary +/- 1/4" as we often prefer to lightly skip dress the turning blanks to reveal grain & colour. Some blanks may also come with waxed faces and ends.
The heartwood is a light to medium brown color. Sapwood can be very wide, and tends to be a beige or light brown; not always clearly or sharply demarcated from heartwood. Produces good results with hand or machine tools. Responds well to steam bending. Glues, stains, and finishes well.
