The blade is machined from cast and ground aluminum tool plate. This expensive material is utilized for its mechanical stability and tendency to maintain close tolerances after machining. By milling the blade from a single plate both angles are held to a much higher degree of precision than what's possible from stamped, molded or 2-pc tools.
The handles are milled from solid bar stock and fastened to the body with high strength socket screws. Separating the handles from the blade ensures they can be recalibrated to the blade if knocked out of position.
Anodized for durability and appearance, the Carpenters Square is also engraved with inch scale markings on the vertical leg. Made in U.S.A.
Excellent, easy to order and delivered on time. This plywood engraves and cuts very nice. I will be purchasing from KJP again in the near future.
Great purchase, wood smells and looks amazing. Wood purchase again in the future.
Having used typical shop vacs from both Shopvac and Ridgid I could not believe the difference in performance, efficiency, noise level, features and dust extraction capability of the Festool CT MIDI I. After attaching the MIDI to my Milwaukee track saw, I couldn’t see any dust anywhere which was quite a departure from what I have been accustomed to. Yes, the Festool is pricey however if you value your lungs and you insist on highest level of dust extraction capability, then it is worth every single penny spent to buy one.
