I opted for local delivery ($90 or something), and also got some milling done (was $2 per cut). Wood was supposed to be delivered on Friday afternoon, but the shipping company didn't come by (I called after they missed their time time slot, got it extended by a few hours, and then they missed that slot too). We rescheduled for Monday between 9-12, but then missed that time slot, and after calling again they got it delivered just shy of 1pm. To be fair to KJP, it sounded like a shipping company issue, and everyone who I talked to was nice and professional. Just sucks for me.
More importantly however was that their were some significant errors in the milling. I gave them a cutlistoptimizer spec sheet (which was what they have used in the past), and a few parts were notably short with 1 piece appearing to be missing. I can salvage these errors myself, but these cuts were pretty expensive, so kind of unfortunate that I'll just have to spend a decent amount of time fixing it.
If I were to redo my order, I would probably get a friend or uber or similar to pick up the wood. Then for the cuts, I would either do them myself, or create a much simplified cut list order (one that wouldn't be overly effected by messing up a cut by a bit).
I really like KJP in general, just a bit disappointed here in my experience surrounding the purchase of wood.
