The Strongest Floating Shelf On The Market!

The solid Poplar wood is selected by our staff to include beautiful natural character and will spruce up any wall you choose to hang it on. These shelves require the use of a bracket (NOT INCLUDED). As we offer many sizes - they should accommodate most brackets found on the market. We can customize the thickness and depth if you have a certain bracket you need to fit.

While poplar generally displays a pale, cream-coloured base, it is commonly laced with green, gray, or black figures. Poplar is one of the softer woods we offer shelving in, so it should be used with care in situations with heavy usage. It is a strong wood, but it can form dents or divots if things are continuously being placed down with force. Poplar is typically used for a more economical paint grade shelving when you want the strength and durability of a hardwood - but with a wood species that takes paint nicely. The colour of the wood may darken slightly over time, but it is unlikely to change significantly.

The 6" deep shelf is a singular piece of solid wood while the 8", 10", 12", & 14" shelves will usually be made of a lamination of two pieces of solid wood. This will help to prevent any major wood movement like cupping occuring. Our team works to ensure the lamination process creates a piece that looks as seamless as possible.
