This blank has already been kiln dried and dressed on 4 sides, so it’s immediately ready for gluing and clamping. Combine with our premade domestic or tropical cutting board packs - or put together your own combination with the other 6 wood types we carry!

We recommend using Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue for a sturdy and waterproof bond between your cutting board blanks. If you want a mess-free application, we also recommend using the Titebond Glue Brush to make the process a little easier.

Heartwood color is variable, ranging from a very pale pink to a deeper reddish brown, sometimes with streaks of medium to dark reddish brown. Color tends to darken with age. Grain is straight to interlocked, with a medium to coarse texture. Good natural luster with a light-refracting optical phenomenon known as chatoyancy.
Easy to work, glue, and finish. Tearout can sometimes be a problem if the grain is interlocked.
