Ball Nose Spirals leave a rounded bottom during cutting while still providing a better shear cutting angle like their standard spiral counterparts. These are mainly used with small CNC's but can be used in a router or router table. The up cut flute design pulls chips up and away from the work piece.

Great Router Bit Smoot finish and much safer than straight but.

Ordered this after using a flight trim straight bit to make some arms for a chair. The straight bit grabbed the arm and kicked it back. This bit is so much smoother and safer as the cutting action isn’t directed entirely in one direction. Finish is much better too. Final part hardly needs sanding.

Only complaint was having to pay $20 for shipping for such a small package. I only ordered the router bit.
