Italian Olivewood is a scruffy and scrappy tree so most of our charcuterie boards will have some level of defect; knot, crack, or wane. When we get a fresh batch in of Olivewood - the KJP staff sort through and accumulate a small batch of boards with the most minor of defects - like small face cracks or small knots.
This is very limited stock and should not be considered our "usual" grade. Unfortunaly the tree just doesn't yield enough of these beautiful defect free boards. Consider purchasing Premium Grade Olivewood while we have it in stock or you may have to wait until our next batch from Italy arrives!
This item is one of a kind! Slight variations are to be expected and admired. Yours may not have the same grain pattern as those pictured - but will still be carefully selected by our staff to ensure you are getting a beautiful live edge piece. If you are looking for a more economical version of this popular wood - consider our Live Edge Charcurterie Boards - Olivewood (Standard Grade).
These boards have been kiln dried and surfaced to show the grain and colour. Although these boards have been skipped dressed to show colour and grain, they will still require some TLC and additional milling to make them flat. Thickness is between 3/4" - 15/16". Boards will often have only partial bark or no bark at all.
Enjoy quantity discounts when purchasing more than one board.

Love the character of this wood! Perfect for charcuterie boards!
I emailed you that the way you advertise what I purchased made it appear that you were sending 3 boards, not one. In both the wording and picture. The reply I received was completely unsatisfactory. I will never buy from you again.
Hi Randy,
I am sorry to hear you thought the picture is misleading. We in fact show 3 pieces of wood so customers can see the range of possibilites when they order lumber. This is a fairly standard practice for selling lumber online but we have taken on your feedback and will see if we can adjust the product to make it even more clear. Thank you.
I ordered 4 premium Olive wood slabs. Three are absolutely perfect, but one has a check on the the end as well as many (dozen or so) worm holes/pots that will need to be filled in order to use. Three are absolutely perfect and even super smooth etc.
