Where can I take a woodworking class?
Join us here in Ottawa at KJP Select Hardwoods for basic woodworking classes. We are two hours from Montreal, 4.5 hours from Toronto, and 3 hours from Syracuse. We've been told that our workshops are worth the drive! Additionally when you join us for a workshop, you will also get a discount on our lumber so it's a win win.
What do you do in a woodworking class?
The most exciting aspect of our woodworking classes is that you actually leave with a project that you made! Our knowledgeable instructors will guide you on the safety aspects of all the power tools required to complete the specific project. You will gain knowledge and experience on commonly used tools such as a bandsaw, tracksaw, mitersaw, sander, and a planer. All the wood and materials are provided so you just need to show up! Typically lunch and beverages are included as well.
How to make an epoxy table
It's actually easier than you think and can be done with zero woodworking experience! We generally offer 2 or 3 epoxy table top workshops every month. It is a two day workshop where you will learn how to use a variety of power tools and woodworking techniques. Here is a link to an example DIY epoxy table top course so you can read what is involved. Too much of a time commitment? We also offer custom woodworking and would be happy to build your dream epoxy river table.
Do we offer team building woodworking classes?
Absolutely! Depending on the woodworking project, our wood shop can accommodate groups of up to 10 people. This is a fantastic way to bond with your coworkers while learning something new during an adult woodworking class.
Should we offer a virtual woodworking class?
We'd love to have you join us in the nations capital for an upcoming woodworking workshop! Classes are added to the website regularly so check back often for new woodworking topics and dates.
