Limba Shelf
Strength and Quality of Solid Wood!
The solid Limba wood is hand-selected by our staff to include beautiful natural character and will spruce up any wall you choose to hang it on. These shelves require the use of a bracket (NOT INCLUDED). As we offer many sizes - they should accommodate most brackets found on the market. We can customize the thickness and depth if you have a certain bracket you need to fit.
Limba wood is one of our most unique species, as no two pieces of it look the same! White the heartwood is generally a golden brown, it is characterized with dark streaks that range from dark gray to black. Some pieces of Limba will have no black streaks, while others may have many. Many people refer to Limba as either “Black Limba” or “White Limba”, but the names do not denote different species of wood, only the presence of lack-thereof of the black steaking. Limba can also have pockets of a rusty orange hue, although it is a rare figure to find. This golden wood is moderately durable and may contain pores that will be filled prior to finishing. If you have a preference of what type of hue or colour you’d like your shelves to contain, please reach out via the email below and we will do our best to accommodate your vision. Limba’s golden hue will darken somewhat over time, but the figures and personality of the wood will remain unchanged.
The 6" deep shelf is a singular piece of solid wood while the 8", 10", 12", & 14" shelves will usually be made of a lamination of two pieces of solid wood. This will help to prevent any major wood movement like cupping occuring. Our team works to ensure the lamination process creates a piece that looks as seamless as possible. We work hard to ensure you have a stable, beautiful shelf in your home to decorate and store whatever you like.

Finish Options
- You can either choose from a raw/unfinished wood which you can sand, stain, and finish yourself - or select the shelf sanded & finished with Osmo Polyx-Oil Clear Satin finish for a rich and well protected look that showcases the natural beauty of the wood.

- Although we have pre-selected sizes on the website, if you would like something other than what is listed, you can chat with one of our staff members who can help bring your ideas to life and provide a quote for your custom order. These shelves are made on demand by our custom shop. Please allow 3-4 weeks for Raw/Unfinished shelves and 5-6 weeks for Sanded/Finished shelves.

- 18" - 4' qualify for free shipping when Cart is less than 40lbs. If your total cart is over 40lbs - there is a small freight fee depending on your location. Other restrictions may apply.
