4/4 Rough Cut Tigerwood Lumber Pack

Tigerwood is a very hard, strong, and durable wood that is excellent for indoor and outdoor projects!

Choose from 2 different sizes of our 4/4 Tigerwood Rough Cut Lumber Packs; 10 Board feet or 20 Board Feet. We will carefully handpick an assortment of boards in the pack size of your choice.

What should I expect in my Lumber Pack?

10 Board Feet

  • Approximately 4-7 boards*
  • 4" to 8" widths
  • 48" lengths

20 Board Feet

  • Approximately 8-14 boards*
  • 4" to 8" widths
  • 48" lengths

*Although we try and make sure all the boards include some amount of black striping - often it is not possible on small pieces and instead you will receive the beautiful orange-brown / russett colouring that Tigerwood is known for.

These boards have been skipped dressed to show colour and grain, however they will still require some TLC and additional milling. If you would prefer to have the milling done for you - check out our S4S Tigerwood Lumber.

*We always try to include the widest boards we have available at the time that meet the Rough Cut Lumber Pack specifications. Approximate board count is based on an average size of 6" x 48". Actual amount of boards will vary depending on widths available at time of fulfillment. Have a question? Send us an Email.

You may also recognize this wood as Goncalo Alves. The heartwood is a nice medium reddish brown with dark brown or black streaking. Tigerwood darkens with age and typically has a wavy or interlocked grain. It is commonly used in a variety of larger projects such as furniture, cabinets, and flooring. It is also an excellent choice for building pool cues, archery bows, or knife handles.

Tigerwood has excellent weathering and rot resistant properties making it a good candidate for outdoor furniture.

Can't wait to start my projects in the Spring as Winter has set in early here in Upstate VT.

What a great looking wood at a very decent price. This could be my new favourite for smaller projects.
