Olivewood Project Box

I love Olive Wood, so when I saw that there was a project box, I jumped at it. To be honest, 51% of the cut offs are fire wood. Shipping was a bit pricey also, but that is to be expected nowadays. The pieces that are good will be made into beautiful Christmas keepsakes, while I try to salvage something from the "highly figured" (read, split, knotted and cracked) pieces. I imagine we will make small figurines, or cut outs with these. They will, certainly, not be wasted.

First thing, opening the box and that sweet smell of olives, and then looking at the pieces and the superb grain pattern Olive wood has. Nice sized pieces, both thickness and dimensions. My reason for getting a box was to make a set of kitchen utensils and cutting board. 1 pieces was the perfect size, and only required minor work to make the cutting board, and 2 other pieces gave me a whole 12 piece set of utensils. I still have more than 1/2 of the box for other projects. Amazed at the quality and quantity you get for the price, well worth it. Thanks!
