Birch Plywood (Import)

A Budget Alternative To Baltic Birch

Choose from two thicknesses of our cost effective Import Birch plywood. These are for pick up only at our retail location here in Ottawa, Ontario. If you would like them delivered, please email us for a quote.

This imported Birch is usually from Asia and comes with a Rotary Cut face veneer with very little face defects or voids. It is laid up on a plywood core with more layers typically reserved with only Baltic Birch. With the economical price can also come a few trade offs like board calibration (some sheets can be +/- 19mm), or a slight warp/bow. These are not usually major issues and most of our customers have had very little issues transitioning from the use of 3/4 Baltic to this import version when budget is an issue.

The Pre-Finished version comes with a high quality clear coat lacquer spray on both sides so you can cut and install your project immediately. Especially good for shop cabinets and plywood kitchen boxes!

Need help getting this home? Ask our staff to rip or cross cut the sheet to make it more manageable for you. Please include the dimensions in the notes section of the invoice. If you require additional milling, please email us in advance for a quote.

These are available for pickup at our retail location or local delivery in the Ottawa/Gatineau region. If you require shipping to your location, please connect with us for a custom shipping quote.

Great plywood!

Was exactly what I needed for building a work bench.

Either the veneer is too thin or your blade was dull. I had fraying on one side. all in all it worked out.

Not great quality

Quite a bit of warp and the finish is very thin and brittle. I was able to work around the warp for this project but in the future I will use Baltic Birch plywood for a higher quality end result.
