For turners who are just getting started and want to try three of our more popular domestic species, or for anyone looking for some savings - this pack is for you. We will provide you with 3 x high quality turning blanks in Maple (1), Cherry (1), and Walnut (1) in the dimensions of your choice. Our 2" blanks have already been kiln dried and are ready to be "turned" into your next great project!
We recommend using Honey Bee's Natural Wood Creamfor a long lasting and food safe finish.
We can sometimes accommodate a larger blank than our standard sizes. Please email us for availability and a quote.
Dimensions may vary +/- 1/4" as we often prefer to lightly skip dress the turning blanks to reveal grain & colour. Some blanks may also come with waxed faces and ends.

Cherry : Heartwood is a light pinkish brown when freshly cut, darkening to a medium reddish brown with time and upon exposure to light. Sapwood is a pale yellowish color. Cherry is known as being one of the best all-around woods for workability. It is stable, straight-grained, and machines well. The only difficulties typically arise if the wood is being stained, as it can sometimes give blotchy results—using a sanding sealer prior to staining, or using a gel-based stain is recommended.
Maple : Fairly easy to work with both hand and machine tools, though slightly more difficult than soft maple due to hard maple’s higher density. Maple has a tendency to burn when being machined with high-speed cutters such as in a router. Turns, glues, and finishes well, though blotches can occur when staining, and a pre-conditioner, gel stain, or toner may be necessary to get an even color.
Walnut : Typically easy to work provided the grain is straight and regular. Planer tearout can sometimes be a problem when surfacing pieces with irregular or figured grain. Glues, stains, and finishes well, (though walnut is rarely stained). Responds well to steam bending.
I like your stuff but I gess the way you marked the sizes is not Right . 2+6+6 is not
proper it should be 2in thickness by 6in diamiter or 2in +6in radius which would
be 2in +12in diamiter .
Excellent blanks for making wooden trays. Thanks Bob Garnett

Laser cuts through it clean and the colour is great
This batch did not cut out well with my laser, lost quarter of almost every sheet, plenty of waste
