Not sure
I’ll be working with it next week. But I love the slab that you sent.

Disappointing.

You will likely need a planer.

You will likely need a jointer.

I received a bundle of sticks that were not glue ready (I could play hockey with one of them) and am currently on marketplace trying to find tools that I wasn't supposed to need.

Anyways.

Hi Wayne,
Sorry to hear you weren't happy with this product. It is one of our most popular items so we are surprised to hear you had quality issues. Have you reached out to our customer service? We would be happy to replace the material once you've sent in a photo or two. Please reach out. Thank you!

Why Purple Heartwood for cutting boards?

I bought the exotic pack to make a cutting board. A coworker spottied it and said - You know Purpleheart wood is toxic right?

Sure enough it is toxic - so why does every You Tuber and Etsy store use it on cutting boards? More importantly why would a hardwood store not put up a warning?

Hi GIP Le Ber,

Thanks for the feedback. You and your coworker might want to take a closer look into this subject as Purpleheart is no worse than many of the other species. In fact, Maple is actually considered more 'toxic' and it is the classic cutting board species. I would suggest starting on this page '' https://www.wood-database.com/wood-articles/wood-allergies-and-toxicity/ ' .

Hopefully it will put your mind at ease. Happy woodworking!
