Osmo Polyx-Oil

The easiest application yet!

Osmo Polyx-Oil is a general purpose Hardwax-Oil wood finish that is derived from natural vegetable oils and waxes. Resistant to water, dirt, beer, wine, cola and saliva, Osmo Polyx-Oil is microporous and molecularly bonds with the wood, meaning it does not crack, flake, peel or blister. Our new advanced formula of Polyx-Oil has been specially engineered in Germany to be the first Hardwax-Oil available on the North American market that can be easily applied with a brush or roller, with no buffing necessary! Can be spot-repaired and/or restored/renewed with no sanding required, therefore wood never needs complete sanding and refinishing again.

Osmo UV-Protection Oil A++

Full discloser, I am the world's worst lacquer and paint finisher. That being said the Osmo UV-Protection Oil is outstanding as far as application goes. Used a micro-fiber roller and foam brush for application and it went on great with minimal runs and zero streaking. As far as wood color integrity it has been excellent. Hard maple did not yellow out like some protectants tend to do and Brazilian walnut had a nice dark natural color to it. Time will tell on durability but 2 coats on an Adirondack chair seems to do the trick. It is expensive but if the chair survives the summer I will be purchasing a gallon next time around.

Some boards are damaged

Some boards are damaged and they refused to change them. So sad and will avoid buying here.

Hi Mark,
In this particular case you were contacted both by Karen and Natalie to sort this matter out. We were still waiting on measurements and answers from you so we could help. Hopefully we can line up on something else in the future.
Thank you
