The name says it all! Zebrawood has light brown and dark brown steaks that resemble the coat of a zebra. You’ll find anything from straight quartersawn surfaces to chaotic cathedrals seen in flatsawn material. Also known as Zebrano, this popular wood is commonly used for furniture, tool handles, and even skis.
The wood is prone to tearout due to the often interlocking grain but saws well enough. It glues well and takes finish well though a clear pore filler is needed for a smooth finish. This is another wood that has a notoriously unpleasant smell with worked.
Where is Zebrawood from? West Africa. It is a KJP favourite wood and we look forward to seeing what you build with it!
Excellent, easy to order and delivered on time. This plywood engraves and cuts very nice. I will be purchasing from KJP again in the near future.
Great purchase, wood smells and looks amazing. Wood purchase again in the future.
Having used typical shop vacs from both Shopvac and Ridgid I could not believe the difference in performance, efficiency, noise level, features and dust extraction capability of the Festool CT MIDI I. After attaching the MIDI to my Milwaukee track saw, I couldn’t see any dust anywhere which was quite a departure from what I have been accustomed to. Yes, the Festool is pricey however if you value your lungs and you insist on highest level of dust extraction capability, then it is worth every single penny spent to buy one.
