Limited sorted boards free of major defects!
Italian Olivewood is a scruffy and scrappy tree so most of our charcuterie boards will have some level of defect; knot, crack, or wane. When we get a fresh batch in of Olivewood - the KJP staff sort through and accumulate a small batch of boards with the most minor of defects - like small face cracks or small knots.
This is very limited stock and should not be considered our "usual" grade. Unfortunaly the tree just doesn't yield enough of these beautiful defect free boards. Consider purchasing Premium Grade Olivewood while we have it in stock or you may have to wait until our next batch from Italy arrives!
This item is one of a kind! Slight variations are to be expected and admired. Yours may not have the same grain pattern as those pictured - but will still be carefully selected by our staff to ensure you are getting a beautiful live edge piece. If you are looking for a more economical version of this popular wood - consider our Live Edge Charcurterie Boards - Olivewood (Standard Grade).
These boards have been kiln dried and surfaced to show the grain and colour. We will carefully handpick either a 4" - 7" or an 8" - 14" wide board in the length of your choice. Thickness is between 3/4" - 15/16". Boards will often have only partial bark or no bark at all.
Enjoy quantity discounts when purchasing more than one board.
We recommend Rubio Monocoat if you are using these boards for crafting. The oil will add a richness of colour while adding durability and longevity to your project.
This material is a game-changer in the world laser engraving! The quality of the plywood is exceptional, with a perfectly smooth, perfectly flat surface (no surprise here) that makes it a joy to work with. The finish feels a little plastic, but I understand it’s an acrylic coating over the maple fibre, which I love. Even laser-fog burn marks wipe off with a damp cloth — no masking needed. The maple grain is pronounced and it cuts cleanly and sands beautifully. 100% will purchase again.
