When sorting and curating our Black Walnut - we often accumulate some walnut stock that contains a bit more sapwood (pale yellow) than what meets the standard grade for shipping. We've now discounted these pieces and are offering them to our online customers.
These boards are great if you are doing laser work, embossing, pyrography, and other crafts.
To repeat; there is absolutlely nothing wrong with this material - it just doesn't have the % of brown wood our customers often expect with Black Walnut. Take advantage of the price savings if you can work with this lighter material!
This item is one of a kind! Slight variations are to be expected and admired. Yours may not have the same grain pattern as those pictured - but will still be carefully selected by our staff to ensure you are getting a beautiful live edge piece. These boards have been kiln dried and surfaced to show the grain and colour. We will carefully handpick a 4" - 9" wide board in the length of your choice. Thickness is between 3/4" - 15/16". Boards will often have only partial bark or no bark at all.
