Darker in colour then Black Walnut, it has a deep chocolate colour and occasionally has a purple hue. We love to use it as you don't get any of the sappy white colouring we see in the Black Walnut.
This is a great wood for furniture making and veneers. It also gets used to make musical instruments, flooring, and interior trim.

4/4 Rough Cut Peruvian Walnut Lumber
Ordered S4S and only ran it through the jointer twice on very light passes, took very minimal work to get true again. First time working with this particular type of walnut and so far am very pleased with it.
