Aromatic Cedar is extremely colourful with a large range of colour from reds to violet-browns. The sap wood is a distinctive yellow colour and unlike most sapwoods, it can be found in streaks through the heartwood, not just on the outside of the tree.
Be prepared for a bit of a challenge. There are many knots found in aromatic cedar which can be a challenge. The wood also has a high silica content that will wreak havoc on your edge tools. It glues and finishes well though it is typically left unfinished.
Unfinished Aromatic Cedar is great for closets, chest and box lining because it keeps the bugs away. It is also quite rot resistant making it perfect for fence posts or outdoor furniture or projects.

We will provide you with a 1/4" thick x 3" wide or 4-3/4" wide x 24" long, high quality thin board! These boards are flat, straight, and ready for sanding.
Working with Thin Lumber
4" and wider thins are resawn from a board thick enough to produce 2 pieces and then planed down to a finished thickness of 1/4". This milling process releases tensions in the board and may well induce slight cupping and/or bowing in the finished piece. These movements are normal and not considered "defects". They will not be grounds for a return or refund.

Really pleased with the thins of this wood, very few problems with knots on the pieces that I received.
The wood I have gotten from KJP has always exceeded my expectations. I continually check the site to see what new wood they have, and hope I am in time to order some more.

Laser cuts through it clean and the colour is great
This batch did not cut out well with my laser, lost quarter of almost every sheet, plenty of waste
