Join Louis Boucher to build your own cutting board. You will leave this class with a finished cutting board ready for immediate use!
Students will start the class by learning the glue-up process for cutting boards. Once they have been placed in clamps they will be set aside and students will pick from a pre-made glue-up and learn how to flatten/plane, sand and shape your board. After the board is flattened, sanded, and routed; students will apply finish with Honey Bee's Natural Wood Cream (a combination of mineral oil and beeswax).
In the class students can expect to use a planer, table saw, router, palm sander and drill.
All skill levels are welcome, but this class will move at a pace comfortable for a beginner making their first cutting board.
All tools and materials will be provided. Students will receive 20% off any purchases they make on the day of the workshop. Festool, Woodpeckers, and plywood excluded.
We understand that things might come up and plans may change, with that being said, we must consider scheduling and timing for our instructors, this means that cancellations that happen within 7 days of the scheduled class date will not be eligible for a refund. However, classes can always be transferred to another participant 16 years of age or older. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this matter.
