12" x 30" Baltic Birch Plywood

Our top selling plywood pre-cut for you!

You are puchasing a full size sheet of 5' x 5' plywood cut into 10 equal pieces of 12" x 30". Baltic Birch plywood is manufactured with a single piece face to ensure light and uniform colour. A few sound tight knots and pin holes are permitted. Open knots and defects are replaced with small oval or round veneer patches before gluing.

Did you know that all 1/8" and 1/4" Baltic Birch has the possibility of cupping/warping? This can happen because of the nature of it being thin and wide. Please see our "Working with 1/8" & 1/4" Tab for specifications and our Return policy.

Due to the current supply chain issues and market shortages, we are not able to offer discounted pricing until further notice.

You will receive 10 pieces. Dimensions are +/- 1/4" of size listed.

Did you know that all 1/8" and 1/4" Baltic Birch has the possibility of cupping/warping? This can happen because of the nature of it being thin and wide. If and when that happens, this popular product for laser cutters can be accommodated by using simple techniques such as taping it down to a flat surface, or creating a jig that compresses it down flat. We always do our best to hand pick the highest quality pieces, but it’s important to be aware of this possibility when planning materials for your project.

If you require perfectly flat material for your project, we would recommend trying our Craft MDF Plywood instead.

For many of our customers working on CNC or Lasers - it should be noted there is an allowable thickness tolerance to consider;

  • 1/8" (3mm) - +0.3mm/-0.4mm
  • 1/4" (6mm) - +0.4mm/-0.5mm

Refunds for this product are subject to a 15% restocking fee as these are cut to order. As well, the customer is responsible for any applicable shipping charges.

We have now developed 3 "house grades" so our customers can better understand what they are purchasing;

  • Laser/CNC Grade (B/BB) : You can expect at least 1 face with no patches - often both!
  • Patch 2 Sides : Patches will appear on both faces of sheet. Best value but reserved for painting or small parts
  • Standard (BB/BB) : A mix of both our Laser/CNC Grade and Patch 2 Sides grade. Expect about 80%-90% Laser/CNC Grade. Historically this is what we have sold and the grade of anything unmarked.

See our specification page;

Great Product

First time buying from KJP and satisfied with the wood that I received. Nice and clean and will work well for what I need.

Good quality birch plywood

I find the quality of the Baltic birch quite reliable from KPJ. I am using it for laser cutting. There have been no air pockets or glue patches. This shipment had a few warped boards however a couple extra pieces were gifted in the shipment which more than made up for my efforts to weight it out straight.
I am very appreciative of KPJ’s efforts to source and provide a quality product.

Wood thinner than usual

I've been ordering from this company for over a year and have had varying satisfaction with the 1/8" and 1/4" baltic birch plywood. This latest shipment is significantly thinner than the usual 3.1mm, which messed up a bunch of product before I realized the difference when I went to assemble everything I'd laser cut (my files are set for a certain thickness). Thinner is easier for my machine to work with but doesn't work with standard 3mm files.

Hi Emily,
I know our customer service team has reached out directly on this but figured this reply might be useful for the public;
Baltic Birch is an Industrial panel and it not being manufactured specifically for the laser/cnc/craft world. There is an acceptable thickness calibration tolerance (ex 3mm +0.3mm/-0.4mm) that is standard in the industry and how our suppliers sell it to us. Unfortunately we aren't able to specify a certain thickness if it is within the tolerance allowed in the grade when we purchase. Unfortunately I understand this is a concern for your application and this variance may not allow you to continue using the product.
I hope this clarifies things a bit more. Thank you,
